Scoville trail is probably the most popular trail. It starts from Rock Ville and leads to the Scoville Point
to the east of the island. It was four miles round trip. Beautiful rocky shoreline and lots of plants
can be seen along the trail.
Water
One major difference between teh lake and ocean is that the lake is much cleaner. The water was
so cleared that it seemed to be transparent.
Lake side
Rocky shoreline and small islands decorate the trail and make it scenic.
Lake side
Other visitors showed us the blueberries along the trail. We began to pick up
some. they were small but tasted better than supermarket products.
Scoville Point
At the end of the trail. The view to the south eastern was limitless water.
It seemed to be one of the best spot for sunrise. However, I guess that
is is not funny to hike in the dark for two hours to get here before sunrise.
Tobin Harbor
The returning trail is on the other side of the peninsula. It is beside the inner bay
so the water is very calm. The lake looked like a mirror reflecting the trees and the sky.
Tobin Harbor
We finally got back to Rock Harbor around 6:00 PM. After resting a bit in our room,
we hurried to the restaurant so we would not miss the dinner.
