Mountain Farm Museum
Mountain Farm Museum is next to the Oconaluftee Visitor Center. It was built around 1950
with a collection of early Appalachian farm buildings. It helps the visitors to see and feel how
early mountain farmer's life was like.
The exhibition also includes the interior of a typical farm home.
It looked like that the National Park did have planted corns as part of the exhibition.
And they also have old farm machinary here.
We saw live performance of this traditional musical instrument in the Oconaluftee visitor center.
I don't know the name of the instrument but it got very nice sound. It was a pitty that I didn't
have anything to record the music.
